Independent film offers an opportunity for directors, writers, producers and actors to return filmmaking to its original state: Artistic expression. Once upon a time, the intent of the moviemaking experience was for the cast and crew to create a dream and share it with a participating audience. The fullness of movie magic has been deflated and it's up to true independent filmmakers to restore the shape of an art that, at its full potential, has no limitations.

Bombshell Films wants to be part of that restoration. We want to make movies that ask audiences to participate again.

Part of the reason movies aren’t what they used to be is due to the excessive attention to perfection. Along with one-dimensional stories come one-dimensional faces. Men are beginning to join the ranks, but it is women who are striving for the unattainable look. In their obsession to escape the beauty of age, the nature of weight and the bone structure with which they were born, they are simply inventing a new version of ugly.

That’s why it is important to us to focus on women working in film. Not only do we want to offer significant, three-dimensional characters in our scripts, we want to diversify our film crew. We want to provide women the opportunity to explore the indescribable experience of film production.
